Sanremo and Sorroundings
Sanremo is an international seaside resort where there is never a dull: there's always something to see or do and participate in.
You can shop in the chic Via Matteotti, largely become only pedestrian, that connects the Casino to the Ariston Theatre, home of Sanremo Festival.
Beyond the casino, you can visit the Russian Orthodox Church taking a relaxing walk on the elegant and popular Corso Imperatrice, Via Matteotti, Via Palazzo, Via Calvi and Via Corradi.
Corso Trento Trieste is the promenade on the east bank, with beautiful views on the town and sea from Capo Verde to Capo Nero.
High on a hill, La Pigna, it is the charming medieval center of Sanremo, and, on top of the hill, the majestic Sanctuary of the Madonna della Costa situated in wonderful scenic area. Not to forget the lush park of Villa Hormond and Villa Nobel, house-museum and venue for international events.
To make it even more lovable this resort is the climate: mild in winter and not too hot in summer, not only influenced by the Ligurian Sea, but also by the chain of mountains that, surrounding it, closes and protects Sanremo by north.
The vegetation of the area is one of the most varied and richest in Italy as being made from plants typical of the Mediterranean climate as well as exotic species. Sanremo, in fact, is the City of Flowers.
Hotel Miramare Luxury Guesthouse is located in front of the sea about 60 meters from the best beaches of Sanremo.
Sanremo, with excellent sports equipment, offers the opportunity to practice various sports: from tennis to golf, from equestrian to water sports (swimming, surfing, water skiing and sailing).
But also for those who are fond of sport without practicing it, Sanremo offers numerous international and professional sporting events: rally, tennis matches and golf in addition to the famous "Milano Sanremo": "The eternal race to Spring".
